Awful clinic. I called three weeks ago to schedule an appointment for boarding over memorial day weekend, I was told they were booked and have been booked for several months and I should have planned better. I was a little irritated by their comments but figured they had a bad day and all would be well. Anway I found another place to taken my dog. I went to Town East Galloway Today to get a booster of kennel cough shot, and while I was waiting (30 minutes) another person walked in and asked if they could board their two labs over the weekend. The girl asked if they had had an appointment and they did not, she proceded to tell this lady that they could keep her dogs but they would have to stay in the same kennel. So not only are they inhumane to the animals by keeping two dogs in one kennel they lied straight to my face three weeks ago. I will never go back. I would suggest you find another vet for your pets.
I used TEGAC because I had a S.N.Y.P. coupon for a dog we adopted from a shelter. That was the closet vet where our coupon was redeemable. We decided to opt for the laser surgery at the vets reccomendation. I'm glad we decided to go with that. We also asked for the two rear dew claws to be removed while the dog was under for the spay surgery. OK we can do that too, they said. What they didn't say was that procedure alone was going to cost $159.50. Imagine my shock when they bill was $389.00 for
1) spay with coupon
2) dew claw removal
3) booster shot
and some other items such as pain meds all reasonable charges to me with the exception of the dew claw removal.
I called my regular vet to see what they would have charged me to do that exact procedure and it was $60.00 less.
It was a lesson well learned; ask the charges for everything at TEGAC. I will not be back to Town East Animal Clinic.
They are very nice and efficient and loving to the animals. I love this clinic!

Did it occur to you they might have had a last minute cancellation? Why would they have turned down you business if they had an opening? '...lied straight to my face' is a very irresponsible thing to say with nothing to back it up but your irritation that you couldn't get into the first boarding facility you called over MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! You SHOULD have planned better! Duh! And what, exactly, is inhumane about keeping two dogs from the same household in one kennel for a few days? It's not ideal, but it was the owner's choice to do so, and may have been better than the alternative. As someone who's been going there for years, I can assure anyone reading this review that this clinic is great, and the vets and staff are all excellent, courteous, caring and knowledgeable. Of course, they won't build you an extra kennel just because people booked ahead of you, but then who would?
I also want to say that the kennels they are talking about are huge. I boarded my lab and sheltie there and the kennel they were in held their dog bed that was large enough for my fifteen year old to sleep on PLUS room to move around and have food their food and water bowls available. Yes, they fill up quickly because they take excellent care of the animals. I don't like to leave my dogs anywhere but will do so with them.
